Alena Marie Finnegan was born on July 20, 1981 in Evanston, Wyoming. She was the first of four daughters. From an early age, her younger sisters looked up to and admired her. Alena passed away on January 28, 2025 at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 43.
She grew up in Kemmerer, Wyoming and graduated from Kemmerer High School in 1999. She then attended the University of Wyoming where she earned her degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, she settled in Utah, where she dedicated herself to raising her four children.
Alena was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend whose kindness and strength touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
Her greatest joy in this life was being a mother, and she took immense pride in loving and caring for her children. She also cherished spending time with her mother and sisters and visiting with her father. Alena had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed any adventure- as long as it was warm!
She is lovingly survived by her four beloved children, Penelope, Killian, Maedoc, and Aurnia; her mother, Lori (Louis) Hernandez; her father, Ren (Catherine) Field, and her sisters, Jamie (Steve) Walker, Dayna (Tristen) Lewis, and Briana (Norman) Krell. She is also survived by two half brothers, Joseph Field and Samual Field. She also leaves behind her grandmother, Connie Eastman, as well as many nieces, nephews, and a great niece.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Marshal Jay Eastman, her grandparents, Joe and Valene Field, three cousins, and an uncle.
Alena's love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
The family requests that in lieu of memorial donations, that they would love to have you send flowers in her memory.
