Carol Jean Browne, age 74, died at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah, on October 29, 2015. Carol was born on December 23, 1940 in Kemmerer, Wyoming, the daughter of Horace Greeley and Carolyn (Hill) Stepp.
Carol enjoyed rock collecting, refinishing antiques, gardening, camping, and watching sports. She also enjoyed listening to country music & oldies. Carol faithfully worked two jobs throughout her life to take care of her family, and she retired from the government after forty years of service. She was a wonderful example of devotion and dedication to her family.
She is survived by her children, a daughter, Diane Browne, of Salt Lake City, UT. And a son, Pete Browne, also of Salt Lake City, UT.; her grandchildren, Amber Browne, and Warren Browne, and two great grandchildren, Alex, and Warren Jaden. She is survived by two sisters, Eleanor Johnson, and Mary Reddington, and brothers, Gary Stepp, Larry Stepp, and Bradley Stepp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Caroline and Horace Stepp, and her husband, Howard Browne.
Visitation will be held at Ball Family Chapel, in Kemmerer, WY. On Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 9:30 A.M. Until 10:45. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. At the South Lincoln Cemetery, Kemmerer, WY. With Pastor Richard Hartman officiating. Interment will follow services at the South Lincoln Cemetery.
