Edna Ruth Williams, age 71, died at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah on Saturday, September 25, 2021. She was born on December 15, 1949 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, the daughter of Jack and Jean Marie (Marocki) Douglas.



She married Daniel Clarence Williams on May 7, 1991 in Las Vegas, Nevada.



Ruth was an avid outdoorsman. She loved to go hiking, biking, fishing, camping, and being in the outdoors. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren. She was a lifelong educator, and worked for over thirty five years in the day care business. She worked at YWCA day care facility in Rock Springs, WY.



She is survived by her children, two sons, Dan (Alison) Smith, and Douglas (Elaine) Smith, both of Rock Springs, WY. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mary Willert, Nathan Wilke, Logan Smith, Cameron Willert, Bailey Woods, Aubree Smith, and Vincent Smith. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Donna Whitten, of Kemmerer, WY. Ruth is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.



Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Jack Douglas.



Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, located at 3309 Sweetwater Drive in Rock Springs, WY. with Dave Brown officiating. There will be a viewing held at the church one hour prior to funeral servcies.



Cremation will follow funeral services.



Ball Family Chapel of Kemmerer has been entrusted to arrangements.
