Miss Ruthie is the reason I am a teacher. When I first started at the YWCA this really tall young man came in with a note for Ruth. He was one of her preschool kids from years ago. It said thank you for all of the care and help you gave a troubled boy when he was young. Ruth hung the note up in the office and I can remember reading it over and over. Everytime I did, I would think to myself " I want that." I want to make such a positive impact with children that they remember me years from now. Thank you Ruth for all of the lessons, advise and care you shared with my family.

Ruth was a great coworker! She had the biggest heart of anyone I know and would truly give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She loved all kids. I remember her making fleece hats for all the kids at YWCA who needed/wanted a winter hat. She was an amazing person who will be missed. Looking forward to visiting with her again someday.

Ruth was always my sushi buddy" at YWCA. We figured out we were the only two at the office who loved sushi and so we would have lunch together. We would just look at each other and say "sushi day?" and we would start planning lunch! She took care of so many children at YWCA over the years. We were lucky to have her.

Miss Ruthie truly loved the children she cared for. She taught me as anew Mom at least as many lessons as she taught my daughter. I am grateful for her friendship.

My beautiful friend - the joy you brought to so many was immense. I think of all of the children and their families. They knew they were lucky to have you in their lives. You taught me so much. I could retell your stories over and over again and just shake my head and smile. You will be missed greatly! Keep them all laughing Ruth!💗
